Suggestions on 16 inch rims

I want to replace my 15in 8 hole wheels on my '94 e320 (w124) with some 16in wheels. However, it seems the selection in the 16in range is more limited than the numerious 17in. wheels out there.

I really like the five hole wheels from the early w210 e430, but they seem difficult to find. I also like the 16in 8 hole wheels similar to what I have which were used on the 1996 w210 e320, but they are even tougher to find. (Tire Rack had some 16in ASA version but no longer available.)

Other options are factory wheels from CLKs, SLKs and S class (w220), all used on e-bay. I think the 7 hole wheels from one of these models would look good on my silver benz.

Any suggestions at all regarding 16in wheels choices would be greatly appreciated. Thank in advance.

Try going here. Wheels America Alloy Wheel Repair Home

I found this place when searching for a place to repair the wheels from my 93 300E. They dont just do repairs, they sell wheels also. Entering your car model brings up a 16x8, probably the same wheels you mentioned.

Good luck!

the R129 used a 16 inch version of the same 8 hole wheel design as your car, but also in the right offset.

factory option for the E420 in europe.

win, win.

i personally like the early 15 holer.

i found my set on craigslist (SF Bay Area) but i am sure other areas will have the wheels you desire. personally i like the wheels that came standard on 560SL and some 560SEC's..... 16x8 and an awesome offset to boot. it has a classic look that looks great on any year 124. good luck. oh and remember, offset, offset, offset. being a body shop owner i have seen and fixed improper offset fitments on numerous vehicles.

They seem to be good prices and they have the OEM 16" x 7.5" rims in a couple of styles.

Please don't get chrome.

I always loved the 8 hole rims of the W124... But the 15" ones are definatly undersized for the W124 dimensions.

So, I got the 16" version

Beware: S**ty quality picture...

i have the polished aluminum CLK rims - they are shiny and look like chrome but aren't.

i am thinking of up-sizing to oem MB/AMG 17" rims.
does anyone have any suggestions and pics of them installed?
