As my beloved W124 passed the 200K mile mark, I'm trying to get an idea of what typically fails around this mileage.
How long is the typical lifespan of the following components:
i dont think there is a particular interval for failures except for the headgasket. even the waterpump is iffy. some go out, some dont.
if i was you, i would just set aside a budget and prepare for the inevitable. if you've replaced as many parts as you've claimed then you should have no worries in the near future.
enjoy your car.

The ignition lock tumbler issue is real in cars that are 20+ years old and big miles but USUALLY if you keep a bunch of keys on your key ring. The added weight of the bulk seems to be the trigger to the extra wear on that item. When symptoms do start, don't wait. It is a real bitch to fix without the right tool and after failure.
#1: it is not a good habit to keep anything more than is absolutely necessary on your key ring. I have only two keys - my W123 key and my W124 key on my car key ring. No key fob or anything else. I keep my other keys on a second key ring.
#2 if you start having any issues whatsoever with your tumbler, replace it.
Don't wait on this!
If that thing jams on you in position #2 you are going to be and singing the blues.
It is a most frustrating task to fix should it jam up in the wrong position.
