Died and only runs with gas in throttle body

Need assistance, I have not seen this posted, but I could be wrong. Car quit on me, stopped running. Replaced rotor and cap [they looked worn]. Still no start. However poured a little gas into throttle body and she fires up, until gas runs out. What should I check now knowing she will start with gas into throttle body. Thanks in advance.

Fuel Pump Running. Check lines, not clogged, but may not have checked all lines. Checked the two lines coming into what I will call the fuel distribution part, near the the throttle body. Both had fuel to come out when engine was turned over. Have gas in tank. Anything else I can check? Thanks in advance. PS 1992 300E with 3 Liter Engine.

Do you think the Idle Control Valve could be a culprit?

Check for cracked/broken hoses at the idle valve and the boot under the air flow meter.

You might want to check your injectors to verify that they are working. unplug on and check the voltage at the connection to the wiring harness as you crank it over.

What voltage level should be seen on the injector plug?

I had a similar problem with my 92 300E M103 project car. It would run as long as starter fluid was being shot in. Pumps seemed to work as there was pressure at the "in" and "out" lines on the fuel distributor. However, the pumps weren't operating correctly or one was dead. I replaced both and the beast came alive.

The only injector that would have any voltage to it would be the cold start injector. Not your problem in this case.

Good Luck,

Jayare

Where does one gain access to the fuel pumps?
