Humming noise at cold start-300E-24V - Benzworld.org

This one has got me buggered. At every cold start I get this droning humming noise. I have no idea where it is coming from. It lasts about 20 seconds and then gone.

Could it be the air pump, or maybe the auto?.........Any ideas?

It's the air pump. Mine does the same thing upon initial start every day. No to worry.

Yep... Air Pump for the emissions... should last anywhere from 30secs to 1min upon cold start.

Jayare: Damn I still love your CE... The white/grey looks so awesome... glad you still have it and you didn't give up on it...

Thanks for the compliment on my coupe. I am about to park it however... There's no problem, but I purchased a "project" 300E a few months ago, so I think I'll roll the miles up on it for awhile. Hope your 230 is working out.
