I realise I wrote loads on someone elses post so I dont wanna be taking away attention from the fantastic original Hammer from the Hammertime post.
So Ive copied and pasted what I wrote earlier onto this new post as I could really use someones help!....
yeah those are the wheels I have and yes the caps are 65mm out and 60mm inside.
Its 11.30pm in London but tomorrow I'll take a pic and post it.
I have found out that a company called RONAL in Germany made AMG wheels in the 80s, not sure about now.
SO I found they made VWs alloys too.
SO I checked a few of the sizes out of the VW alloys
AND I found an EXACT match....
With a huge VW emblem on it...
To make it more difficult its a raised design...anything stuck on it will never be a flush fit as the VW symbol is raised...
SO I took of all the badges and was left with blank grey centre caps.....
YES I can get them sprayed....
BUT they have 4 small rectangular holes on each cap and the face is slightly rounded, not flat like original and....
SO they will look stupid as the Aero I have simple straight lines and no curvy lines like the later Monoblocks.....
SO I paid a graphis designer like 35 USD to make me 4 65mm centre stickers to put on these blank caps, he did a great job and did exactly as I asked...
EXCEPT I got a slightly wrong shade of black that neeither matches the alloy or the car....
AND I realised they actually look kinda rubbish on the car, tacky if you will....
