Bought MSD #6212 Programmable DIS ignition control system with boost retard and must say its sucks. The unit costs $550.00 and I spend about 4 hours installing it with factory wiring connectors from an old harness I had sitting...No start-call MSD send it back.....still waiting on the new one...but don't expect it to last very long....I was a bit suspect when i noticed they included a bypass connector in case the box fails, while this is great,I did not expect to use it before starting the bloody thing.

anyway just a heads up...for those considering
That's too bad, let us know what the effects are, if there are any improvements or a waste of time. Hope it turns out well.

IF THAT REAR WING WORKS, WE WILL HAVE TO REBUILD THE BMW TUNNEL... and so they did!!!
Well, Brabus did that back in 1993. They even bored the engine to 6.9 litre! It was set into a E500 body and it was called B1. It had 510 HP!!!! I'm sure it's posible but it might very expensive!
Good luck.
I've got a 93 400E that I would like to turn into a dedicated track car. Is there anyone who does PCM tunes on these cars? I would like to do some porting, headers, and maybe cams if they're available. Maybe someone makes stand alone computers and harnesses? I'd like something with software that I can play with. This stuff is easily available for other cars, is there anything like that for M119?

By the time you do the engine and suspension you may have over $10K invested and still not have the best engine / chassis combo for track use.
For what it's going to cost you, best consider a 500E / E500, which is more then set up for track use.....
Even a 1995-1996 C36 AMG will give great performance and you could buy for around $10K-$12K for an above average example.
A 1998-2000 C43 AMG for around $12K - $15K is a great performer.
In the long run any of the above will go faster at a lower cost....
That's certainly true if I were to have all the work done for me. Any engine work I do to it would also need to be done on the 500,E same for the transmission. At first the 500E rear would suffice, but if I go crazy than that's got to go. Other than that it's wheels and suspension which I agree at first it would be more economical to go with the 500E but in the long run I would be spending less with my car. This is all assuming that the answer to my other post is affirmative. Any body bracing I can do myself and even copy from a 500E if I get a chance to see one at a track.
