I have a W124 300D 2.5 Turbo 1992 with only 67000 Miles, the car is in excellent shape all original, everything works on the car, its in showroom condition still. Pics can be viewed in the Pics thread.
Atif,
Value will vary depending on current condition (from the pics looks to be a very nice car), if you have documentation and/or records for mileage and work done to the car, and probably the most important whose interested in the car. You could have someone that wouldn't pay you but $3K-$4K just b/c of the age. Or, you can have a true enthusiast of the W124 model, particularly the diesel, offer you upwards of $10k (maybe more) if it is indeed a true fine example that needs no major work or attention.
I am an enthusiast of mostly the W123 chassis but also enjoy the W124 (we own an 87 model 300D). I hope this helps your curiosity on value, like I mentioned there are people who are looking to steal these cars away for just a few pennies; then there are some who would actually pay real $$ for a fine rust free example (I sure would if I had the $$ to spend).
Let us know what happens! I wish I could buy it myself..

I would think you could put that thing on Ebay and get upwards of $10k for it easy.

From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy . . .

So what would be the value of such a car?
Thanks,

The reality is, that in attempting to price an older low mileage vehicle it has two values.
The first which is next to nothing is established by the car trade which considers it a sixteen year old vehicle.
The second and most important is the value to one who realizes the worth of the vehicle and that being what they are willing to pay.
You can see the second in effect if you go to a auction like Barrett Jackson.
If someone wants an individual car, then they are willing to pay more then someone else.
Remember, the car that you own is no longer in production.
If it is low mileage and maintained with documentation then that's a plus.
Only have to point out to a potential buyer to compare for hypothetical purposes what you offer for $10K versus a new equal type vehicle for $50K.
Depreciation bottoms at a point on your vehicle and if quality then rises.
The new vehicle will depreciate for many, many years.
The W124 is probably one of the best engineered Mercs ever !!!
Thanks all for your input, I think I have an idea what to do now. I have all service records of the car and it is a US spec car I bought it in New Mexico and had it shipped in an enclosed truck to canada.
Seriously though, If I had the money I would pay up to 6 or 6.5 grand for that, if it's truely in the condition you say. If you put it on Ebay I would say 5k tops, but like has been forementioned, a collector would pay $10k+.
