Deanyel, you are correct. I cannot check codes. It appears there are 3 or 4 wires connected to the clutch. If I pull the connector and jump with a 12v line which connection point do I use? Thanks
Ok! Going through simular with my E420! If compressor does not run you are genealy low on freon! Hook up a gauge to the suction or low side and if you have less than 20 lbs compressor is not going to run!!! Find the reciever drier down in the front corner by the drivers side headlite and you will see a pressure switch at the TOP and side of drier THE BIG SILVER ONE cross those 2 wires and the comressor should pull in!! If you system is short cycling that is the compressor running a few seconds and shutting off means the system is low on freon. If you charge up the system and it loses pressure after a short time you may have a bad evap. I ran some super seal in mine and I think it plugged the hole but I had other problems mostly moisture in the system and I am sure it crapped out the drier. I am also replacing the expansion valve on the firewall. When my parts get here I will vac down the system replace the freon and cross my fingers!! I fig that I would spend a couple hundred bucks and try and fix it before I had to shell out 3 grand to put in new evap. Wish me luck!! I have a new E320 drier for sale if anyone needs one CHEAP!!

Anyone can check codes - all you need is about $10 worth of parts from Radio Shack. You have a private message on this. If at the compressor you have a red/blue, a white/blue and a blue/green - the blue/green is the 12 volt power.
