TURBO HOOD MOD ?????

Picked up a set of Z34 hood vents on EBAY for $48.00.
All metal so they can be flush set in the hood.

Reminiscent of the Mosselman Silver Arrow heat extractors...

Just laid one on the hood for a rough idea of how they will look...

Will help with heat extraction for the turbos...

GO OR NO GO ??????

I have them on my Koenig TT.They are a big help to get the hot air out.The only thing with the one you got is they kind of funny pointing sideways.

Where did you source your vents from?
Can you post a few pix?

You can appreciate the heat buildup under the hood on a turbo install !!!

Probably going to use something like these...mid-late seventies 280ZX non turbo louvers.

But will mount them on the raised part of the hood similar to the Mosselman Silver arrow location shown below.

If you look at "Babushkas turbo install thread", there have been some considerations of using tubular heat extractor fans.

I think I would go with the 280ZX ala Mosselman. Among other things there is some science behind that design placement.

I also think that if the fins are parallel with the drivetrain axis they might cause whistling [like blowing over a flute]
