Folks, its cold over here is Aus - but not below freezing. E300 D normally aspirated diesel, lost power just after starting but picked up and worked fine after warming up on Monday. Tuesday had a similar problem but this time stalled and refused to start.
I have assumed its a fuel problem, may fuel pump - does it have one? or blocked fuel filter.
Most certainly fuel filters, especially since you referred to it singularly. There are actually 2 on the diesel, primary and secondary. What year is your E 300D?
It could be an injection pump failure but lets hope for a clogged filter or 2 before we start getting quotes on a new Bosch IP .... filters are cheap!

Yea these cars will last a million miles but what with terrorists, natural disasters and the H5N1 avian flu pandemic... God help us there's anyone left here to drive them.
