I had a 20mm rear sway bar made ($250 Aus.) for my 87 124 sedan. The difference is amazing, the car now handles very well with a very balanced feel. It even makes it feel more compact. (a smaller car than it is) "Highly recommended "
I had the local spring works make the sway bar for me, I gave them a standard bar as a sample. The only problem I had was the plastic links are not strong enough. I had to make up a pair of metal ones, using nissan pulsar front sway bar links and the rubber bush and pin off the benz plastic link. (plus a bit of welding)
The front bar is standard. Also i have bilstein sports shocks eibach springs 30mm lowered and front and rear camber kits. I asked for the bar to be made 18mm but when i got it home found it to be 20mm. The handling is quite neutral. no more unbalanced feel, certainly not an oversteerer. It just turns in much better, with a lot more control. The 20mm bar looks the same as the standard bar only thicker.
Thanks Yal for the advice re. the steel links. I tried my local Benz dealer and was told that only 123s had plastic and steel links. Could you give me the part No. off your links. Thanks again.
