need help with valve seals and injectors

ok here it is i bought new valve seals i know that when u change seals u have to change valves but my valves are in good shape so i see no reason to change them my question is do i have to take the head off in order to change them or is there an easier way to do it ?

as for injectors they seem easy to change but i went to local benz mechanic and they said they have to adjust them? but i see no way to do that i don't know but do they have to be adjusted or can i just unscrew the old ones and put in the new ones sorry for any miss spells but im in a big hurry any help would be appreciated

You do not have to change the valves just because you have new seals.. Period..

I am not aware that the injectors can be "adjusted" Ask the shop what they mean by that. Some what odd IMO. The injectors do not "un-screw" They just pull out with a little twisting and turning.

Good Luck,

Jayare

Thumbs up

The valve seals can only be replaced by removing the valve springs, tough job but possibe without the head removed. If you have high miles you should pull the head and have the valve guide replaced as these are the real culprit to oil consumption. Just did my 1989 300TE w 152K miles and all 12 guides were shot. Lucky I dicided to do the job completely or the seals would have been just a waste of time...Good Luck and do the head job.
