My '91 300E-24 (Australian spec RHD with Catcon.) has a #3 plug in the Ignition unit located on the LH side of the engine compartment. I believe the engine is set to run on 91 Octane (regular unleaded) with this plug. As Premium (95) is readily available I would like to change this plug so the timing is more advanced.
I have been told each #plug advances the timing by 3 deg.
Are the different plugs available and if so what no. do I need to run the car on 95?
