Anyone used this Eibach PRO KIT on their benz? Impressions, suggestions?
Thanks.
I have an Eibach kit on my 230CE, but not exactly sure wich one is it, since the last owner installed it.
If I had to bet, I'd say it lowered about 20 mm. The 17" Monoblocks fit just perfect, sitting along the fender's line.
The confort was, obviously, sacrified but not much though.... in my opinion, I'd rather have all my W124s with this springs than the stock ones because these greatly improve the handling and emergency steering response.
The 17s also have a lot to say when driving fast, but the Eibachs are definatly a good start.
Do you have a link with specs to that p/n?

i have them and i like them a lot. only thing is to make sure that you put a realy thick spring pad in the rear end because it tends to leave the rear end about a 1/2 inch lower then the front.

^ Good advice. USA W124's are levelled while European W124's are slightly higher in the rear, you really can't tell until you see two specimens next to each other. In fact if you measure the gaps, front and back, before you mount the springs you'll see what I mean. The fender gap on a USA W124 tends to be less in the rear than in the front when sitting on stock springs and spring pads.
The Eibach drop is designed for the European settings so keep that in mind and go with the next spring pad up size in the rear. I have Eibachs on my car and I agree its one heck of an improvement over stock. They are not as harsh as H&Rs but provide about 80% of the control in hard turns that H&Rs have which is plenty . I had H&Rs on before thats how I know.
