getting a 300TE wagon

my grandfather sold me his 89 wagon for $1.. yes one dollar.. its got close to 200,000 miles on it... however the odometer stopped working at around 184,XXX anyone had this/ fixed this problem... also anythings i should look for when i get the car up here? i have heard nothing but good about these cars!

Totally common problem. Numerous threads on it. In fact there's one on page two regarding a 1990 model.
