Need some help

Hey,
I want to fix up my parents 1989 230E 5spd
First of all the steering wheel is a little harder to turn than the average car and there is lots of play when you switch turning direction.
How would you fix this? How much would it cost?

The second problem is that the clutch starts crabing really far back but still works fine. I can't really judge how it is supposed to be because this is the only standard I ever drove.
Could this be fixed by a new clutch disk?

Also what would be the best and cheapest way to lower it? By the way the suspension still works great on it.

Also where do you get the clear lights? How much are they?

What would be a good rim/tire size for it? Also does anyone know what bolt pattern it has?

Thanks

The steering problem can be caused by a lot of factors. Look into the steering box, the linkages, power steering etc. The cost will depend on what needs to be fixed.

To lower it, I used Eibachs. Works well. It was hard to install the rear springs so I suggest you bring it to a shop.

The clear lights (euro) are available in ebay.

There are lots of suggestions on the rims/tires in here. Do a search. I use 17s. Bolt pattern is 5x112.
