Will 17x8 et 38 fit

I tried the search feature and couldn't find a definitive answer, but does anyone know if a set of 17x 8 et 38 will fit a 300e that has been lowered. I found a great priced set of AMG rims. I've had the car a week, and not sure what springs are in it or with what # pads, but judging from the negitive camber in the back, I'm thinking pretty low. Not tucked but close.

And next question, would 215/345/17's be too stretched over an 8 inch rim vs say a 7.5.
Thanks in advance.
Mark

Offset is fine, it'll fit. 215/45 on 8 inch would be okay, just a bit stretched.
I have 17x8 ET44 with 225/45 all around, lowered by 2 inches. Works perfectly with no fender rolling, no rubbing even on hard turns. Good luck with your set-up.

Thanks Inline6, does the 44 offset vs 38, push the rim closer to the fenders or the shocks?

Found a set of Brabus( I believe) replicas on ebay, which I like: 17x8 et 38, claim to fit 90 300e, so a 225/45 should be no problem, correct?

the higher the offset number the closer the wheel will sit to the shock.

I'm guessing you wouldn't be interested in a set of 17" Monoblock II's in chrome. they are 17"7.5 et 35. I just took them off my 1992 e300 with amg suspension. 225/45/R17

CLK320S is correct on the offset. About the Brabus replicas, they should fit if the offset is accurate. Why not go with the real thing?
