Asr

Hi,i am planing to put ASR in my car and to change the gear box to 5 speed automatic,the car is 300e(12 not 24) sportline 1991-92.
is this possible or am i dreaming???

seriously though, the 5 spd tranny is electronicly controled, whilst the 4spd isnt. I think that its very dificult, if not impossible, to adapt it to your car.

Putting ASR on a car would even more impossibler than putting in a 5 speed transmission. It is integrated into a number of systems in the car. But there's a better reason not to install ASR - it's one of the most troubled system MB ever built. What you have - non-ASR and 4 speed - is the ideal setup.

I agree completely. Many people pay good money to install ASR Defeat on their so equipped cars. It is annoying at the least convenient times.
