Help pls,i have 300e 1991 sportline with automatic 4speed gearboxit has 190000km on the clock.i sent it to fix the motor cos ther was 0,5lit consumption of oil every 1000km town driving.they fix it ang gave it back but when i checked the oil stick it was over the MAX till the top of the red point.i used the car for 2000km and the oil level dropped down little bit over the MAX level.so pls,how much is there in ml between the red point and the MAX level? And what the oil consumption should be?
the second problem is when i am in 2nd gear the car chanes and kick to the 3rd gear if the rpm is less then 1600,but if is is above 1800 it changes smoothly up and down and no problem at all.by the way every how many km i have to change the gearbox oil and filter.
my petrol consumption is 160km/20lit.is it good or too much and i drive fast and too many kick downs.
Thank u

With the miles on your car it sounds like the valve seal and/or the guides need to be replaced. This is a common problem and doing the job will drastically reduce the oil consumption problem.

I'm not sure that I understand the transmission question. Do you realize that the car almost always starts in second gear and then shifts 3, 4? First gear starts are only accomplished with foot-to-the-floor acceleration or hand shifting into "2"

yes i know,if i am driving in center slowlyand economical then when i am 1600rpm it changes to 3rd but u feel that the car is not normal u feel a hit sound, while if i keep it till 1800rpm it changes softly and nice.
if i pout it sport,it stars 1,2,3,4. and it feels nice and cool and always it shifts up and down with no problem.
is it possible that the problem is the vaccum,or some regulator???ort simple filter and oil???thank u
