Hi,
this is my first post. I just got my '91 300CE which has one issue I need to repair. The drivers side seat belt extender is missing the triangular piece that keeps the seat belt in place. The actual extender works just fine and the arm is intact. It appears that the triangular piece just clips on to the end. I contacted my local benz dealer who told me I needed the whole extender at a cost of $450. Does anyone know where I can buy this triangular piece?
Also, does anyone know where a .pdf of the owners manual for the W124 is available? I'd like to know how to program the memory seat and when/how the headlamp washers are supposed to activate. Thanks,
Kirk

Welcome!! Congrats on the 300CE... You're gonna LOVE IT!!!
OK... the site that hosts the manuals is down right evidently... but it's mb.braingears.com.
So... I don't have an answer for the extender. But, the other 2 I can answer:
Seats:
With the door closed, car on or the key in II position... move seat to where you want it (and steering wheel)... then while holding down the green button press memory location 1 or 2... and you are done... repeat for other driver... or like me, for different positions for long drives.
To recall memory 1 or 2... hold the 1 or 2 button until the seat and steering wheel stop moving.
Headlamp Washers:
These are activated when you press the windshield washer at the end of the turn signal stalk and your parking lights or headlights are on... not activated if you have just the standing lamps on... the positions on the left of the light switch.
Any other questions about the operation of the car I can probably answer... I have read my manual a few times and have played with every toy in the car.
And post some pics!! We love the coupes here!!

You don't have to replace the entire mechanism. The part you speak of is a $12 part. I bought one for my 300CE. If your dealer won't sell you one, find another dealer!! (Installation requires unbolting the seatbelt from the doorsill. Watch for the spring inside the plastic cover.)
Went to my local M-B dealer today, they had the triangular part in stock ($19). I just finished installing it, and everything is good as new (although getting that spring thing back in the seat belt cover was a real beast)! Thanks, everyone
