I have a 1990 200 W124 (carb) MB. The car runs beautifully but recently i have experienced terrible problems starting the car when its been parked in the sun...South Africa gets very hot in summer. Slight smell of petrol but no clear sign of a leak? Fuel consumoption is good, idling is good, running is good etc. Just wont start when parked in the sun....the car floods after prolonged starting attempts so fuel must be getting to the engine? Any ideas?
