Becker radio still says WAIT

I posted a topic maybe a week or two ago about my factory Becker in my 93 300TE. My friend entered the wrong code in 3 times, and its been stuck on WAIT mode for the past 2 to 3 weeks. Ive disconected the battery overnight, kept the radio on for a long period of time, and I cant get it to say code. What do I do next?

Does he actually have the right code, just entered a wrong code before realizing it?

Radios from this time often allow three attempts, each one after waiting 15 minutes. If a wrong code is given a third time, one would have to keep the radio on for 24 hours. It needs to be powered, both permanent and switched power active. Usually easier to take the radio out and run it from a separate power source for the 24 hours.

If he doesn't have the right code, then Becker or the MB dealer can help.
