Does anyone have an unwanted owners manual for a 260E, mine is a 1988 but I believe they would be mostly all the same. ~~~ OR ~~~

The manual is the same for the 88 260E and 300E models. Coupes and wagons got different manuals. To find a copy go to ebay. To scan all those pages would be a horrendous job when a printed copy is so easy to find. However, being down under you may want an export car manual. Your car is RHD, correct? In that case I'd call around to local breakers where you're sure to find one.
eBay had occurred to me as I use it a lot, however any owners manual advertised there (USA, UK etc) were at unrealistic prices ($US50-90 or more!!)
Mercedes of Sydney can supply them new for only $AU60 odd including import from Germany - which is the reason I was trying to find something sooner since that would take 6 weeks odd.
HOWEVER the wreckers had not occurred to me, so thanks for that. I'm sure I will find one locally as I know several specialist Merc wreckers.
Pop your boot and take a look in there before you make the trip to a wrecker. You may find that the tool kit, wheel changing rod, jack, or other bits are missing and you'll be able to pick those up at the same time. Good luck.
