I'm thinking of getting a 1994 e320 with 280,000 kms on it. Are these cars reliable? Any weak spots that I should know about?

Great vehicles but be willing to spend some cash in possible repairs such as:
1)engine wiring harness
2)head gasket
3)water pump
4)transimission rebuild

It depends in what condition it is. MAKE SURE IT HAS SERVICE RECORDS.

Be serious in your investigation of the wiring harness, I have one in the Cayman Islands and the techinicians here say it is normal to need such but never on any other brand of car is it known.

I like these post 93 W124, best looking 124 IMO, These engines are bulletproof but still 280k is a bit to many, make shure that the price you are paying reflects such a high milage.
