Question UPDATE: I removed fuse on OVP Relay and car runs fine! Why? Should I drive w/o OVP?

In searching the forums, I found info about the OVP fuse and relay so I began to investigate.

Found that the fuse is fine, but just for giggles I decided to remove the fuse and see how/if it ran...

To my suprise, the car started fine without dying and it seems to idle and run perfect!
I removed the OVP Relay totally, and it is still fine (except for the ABS light)

Can anyone tell me why?
How do I get it to run WITH the OVP and fuse in place???

Is there any danger in running WITHOUT the OVP and fuse in place?

Please advise, I don't want to hurt my car.

Thanks!

-Brian

The OVP powers all the things that the computer uses to correct mixture and idle. When you remove it out of the equation those things revert to fixed values to keep the car running.

It is possible that you have a bad OVP relay.

I think that you risk yours ABS to be burried if the car voltage go high.
