this is an anomaly which i've noticed before. the common denominator seems to be
Mozilla engine used by Firefox as well as Netscape. Crashing doesn't always, but it
does much of the time. i've not spent a lot of time trying to isolate the cause but
believe it has something to do with cookies or plug in drivers or adware. it hasn't
happened with other sites I've visited so unsure what exactly it is about this site
which triggers this epileptic trauma.
one thing which seems to have pretty good success: back up all your bookmarks
and mail. the latter can get tricky if you're using Netscape Communicator. I can
direct you to the hidden local file/tree if you need. the file tree may be hidden
under c:\documents and settings
uninstall the browser. wipe out all trace and reinstall browser. restore saved book-
marks and mail into newly created Mozilla file folder set aside for mail and bookmarks
after the reinstall, there were no reoccurances of crashing.
Yep, I have Firefox 2.0.0.1 and it crashes here. Luckily when i reopen Firefox will ask me if I want to restore session and brings me right back, so I can live with for now.
It's a pop-up ad... I think its a monster.com ad as thats the only one that I have been able to see that actually pops up... SOOOOOOO irritating
