My understanding is that to install sport struts you need to replace the springs and lower the vehicle. The HD struts are a direct replacement for the stock comfort struts that provides more stiffness to the ride (car leans less).

Kind of nit-picky, but technically the stiffer shock absorders will not reduce ultimate lean angle. The shocks will provide less lean in quick transitional turns, but in a long turn the springs and sway bars are responsible for body lean.

You can certainly upgrade a stock front swaybar without doing any other mods. Us racers do it all the time. The car wil lean less, but spring rates and damping will not be affected. Hope that helps.

the sports are only for cars that are lowered. They won't work if your car is stock height.

-Bilstein HD's are valved the same as Bilstein sports, but they are stock length.

-Comforts are the stock replacements for w124's.

In sum, if you dont' want to lower your car but you want slightly stiffer shocks, get HD's. If you want a stock ride, get the Comforts. And yes, shocks do very little for body roll. If you want to eliminate body roll, you have to upgrade the sway bars.

All of what I have just said has been at least implied (if not outright stated) already. But hopefully it helps anyway...

I replaced the front and rear sway bars on BigBlue my 95 E420 with OEM 500E bars! Now she corners like a goat on rails! Also went with the KYB's on all four corners! God I love them twisty roads!!
