DIY Door Cover Removal?

Anyone know where I can find a DIY door cover removal guide? I have something rattling around in my right side passenger door and I want to fix it right away.

Nick,

Go here - www.braingears.mb.com - Repair manual on-line. There, you will find the steps to remove the door panel. It isn't that big a deal at all. Should take you about 20 min. to remove.

Good Luck,

Jayare

Hey Guys,
It's really no big deal to pull the door panels off.
Undo all of the screws that are visible on the back side of the door end.
Pop the door controls cover off and undo the philips screw that's holding them in.
Pop the small panel at the mirror location
Undo the 10mm bolt that hold the handle. And if memory serves me correctly that should be it.
Last but no least pull the door panel back and up simultainiously.
It's a little un-nerving at first. But I've pull mine off quite a few time's when working on the stereo.
When you're putting it back just make sure you have all the tabs sliding into sleeves before you push it back into place.
Vili, I'll help you out when we work on you stereo.

Okay, I popped mine off last night in the dark in about 20 minutes. Passenger side rear in a 300 E.

Remove the door lock button or whatever you call it.

The key is lifting the panel up, hard, don't worry nothing will break, it just feels that way in comparison to American cars.

The next key step once he panel is up far enough to see behind, notice the screws that hold the wood trim on. Mine were 7mm. Undo them all and take the wood trim piece off. Now the handle and window switch will have more freedom.
I now used a paint scraper to gently push the handle and switch out of the panel.

When handle cover and switch are out, you will see the 10mm bolt that holds the handle and pretty much the panel to the body. remove it.

Now it will just fall off the vehicle.

Good luck.
