Im a 20 year old political science/art student, that feels that energy consumption in the United States needs to take a different direction as to not promote U.S. economic hegemony abroad. My diesel merc is going to get a grease kit eventually, but as for now I respect the 34 MPG I'm getting out of it in biodiesel. I could have gotten a stupid old Jetta TDI, but the w124 is just a gorgeously classy looking automobile thats design is not only widely functional, but timeless in its aesthetics.
I am a 37 yo Optometrist also with a mechanical engineering degree who loves older cars. I really wanted a smoother driving car and already own a VW Passat Wagon. So here recently I found a 95 Wagon in great condition for about $4200, 106K miles. I have to do some extensive A/C work and a few other things that ran up to about $3K, but love the car. I do have a few more things to fix, but nothing major yet. Love this car though. Rides great.

Bought my W124 brand new and paid $49,000 in 1991 while in college. Loved the design and kept it for 16 years. I have other cars - Porsche 911, Corvette, BMW 745i. W124 is my workhorse, a daily driver, and long distance commuter. W124 is one great car.
I'm 31. I am a benefits broker (insurance) in SLC, UT. My income ranges from middle-class to upper-middle-class. My father owned a W124 back in '87. He passed away about 6 years ago. We sold his business along with his car (then a new Lexus LS4xx). I loved the Benzo when he had it. I recently bought more investment property and needed money for the downpayment. I sold my more expensive car and bought the 94 E320. I love it because it's blocky (not so dramatically rounded like the cars of today) and it's safe. I love the 6cyl engine mated with a RWD drive train.
19, communications major at CPP, car was a handmedown form my father. always appreciated the quality, but never really understood until driving other kids cars. corollas, jettas, cavaliers, S-10's oh and a MIghty Max. anyways, makes me thankful that is for sure. also, after driving an old porsche, my father moved back to a w124 when he bought a 94 recently. i think if i were to buy another car it would still be a merc and maybe even a 124, though a 126 SEC is still my all time favorite looking benz.
Hey Guys, I'm 32, and manage production at my families kitchen cabinet business. I've had my cabrio for 3 years and started customizing it the day I bought it. I had a 91 coupe before it. I originally saw a cabrio in a Motor Trend magazine when they first came out and said to myself one day.......
I get a lot of compliments regarding it and no one can believe that the car is 13 years old.
When it's a nice day and I have the top down it's the best break from work and reality.
44yo Mechanical Engineer, 94 E320. i've always like Benz's. I only wish mine was a diesel. My oldest son is planning on buying it when he starts driving in a few months, so i will have to find another.
39. Attorney for a medium sized non profit. My father had nice cars (alfa, bmw, jag) when I was younger so when I could afford to do the same I chose MB. I like the quality, practicality, safety, durability and classic lines.

Just kidding, sort of. I am 19, I work only enough to pay for some stuff (expensive stuff).
Don't even think I am a momma's boy, parentals dropped me when I was 16. I really like the w124. There are better cars, ei I hate the gear box steering, semi trailing arms suck, the front suspension is a really muchy design...
All around I like it, but I would rather drive my BMW hard in the twisties.
