what trans fluid do i need?
i have just purchased a 86 300 and the trans fluid is a bit low i asume that i check it with the engine warm idleing in park if so what do i need to use? i have some atf dextron 3 is this suitable? or do i need somthing else? thanks for those that answer the basic questions Ross

Dexron III or Mobil 1 Synthetic Transmission fluid is OK.

Yes, you are checking fluid level correctly.
