Seat Adjustment

Sorry for posting this twice, but I originally put it in the general section and didn't get much response so I thought posting it here might be better.

Hey there, just bought a 95 E300 Diesel and was wondering if there is any way to get more rearward adjustment from the passenger seat. My wife, who is not that tall (5'7"), can't fully stretch her legs out and finds the postion uncomfortable.

Any suggestions?

Is there a limiter on the seat rails that can be removed or can the seat rails themselves be repositioned?

Assuming that your 95 is like my 88, the passenger side and driver side seats should move fore/aft the same amount. Do they? If not you should check the seat tracks for foreign objects. While inspecting and detailing my 88 TE recent acquisition I was troubled by a slow and noisy driver seat mechanism. After moving it to the extremes of travel didn't reveal the problem I put my face down at carpet level and checked the tracks again. I found a US quarter dollar jammed in there and it had been bent in a U shape! Once i extracted it the seat works great.
Also check the seat belt sliders to see that they are not restricing fore/aft movement.
