Replace Lights Inside dash

Hello, i was curious if anyone knows how to replace the light bubls inside where the guages are as sometimes i notice they dim when i have the defrost on and i'm slowing to a stop. They are stock bulbs so i wanted to change them before they burn out.

the whole gauge cluster comes out with some pulling. its held in by some simple pressure and soft foam on the sides. then it is just a matter of undoing some of the connections mainly the speedometer. once the unit is out, it is easy as the bulbs just pull out like almost any bulb.

easy as that, although the first pull 'n tug on the cluster might be a real b!tch. As for the lights behind the climate control console, you just remove all the wood panels.

I just installed some chrome gauge rings and found this to be very helpful. Good luck.

The bulbs aren't the problem if they dim with the defroster on. Bulbs are either good or bad. Find the source of the voltage drop instead of messing with the dash. The alternator could be on the way out or you could have a bad connection at the alternator or a bad ground. In any event, replacing the bulbs with new bulbs isn't goint to solve the dimming problem.
