Arrow Is there a way to get the black paint off the chrome?

This auto body shop put shiny black paint (even though I requested non-shiny paint) on the grille chrome frame and on the grille insert which now does not match up with the overall black body color.

Is it possible to get the paint off the chrome?

Thanks for that info. What about removing black paint from the chrome? Would thinner work? I will have the body shop respray "flat black" paint on the grille insert, but I am trying to change my car back to Chrome grille.

This is what I suggest you do, so you won't encounter anymore problems. Look up your exact factory paint code it's pretty easy it's on the radiator sticker. Present this paint code to your auto body shop so they can they match up your paint exactly. Don't worry about removing the paint from the chrome, they'll just primer over that and sand it down or even you can do this before bringing it to the shop. . That's what I did to mine and it came out perfectly colormatched

Since you're in L.A have you joined Club One2Four yet? You'll meet a few other
W124 guys from the So Cal area that can assist you in your modding.
