I have a beautiful 1993 300e 2.8 with 57K origional. The abs light comes on and off with no specific pattern. Sometimes it comes on when I start and stays on for 1/2 minute and sometimes it stays on for an hour. Then other days it does not come on at all. The funny thing is the cruise control doesn't work whenever the light is on. Then when it goes off the cruise works again. Now yesterday the "brake pads worn" light began to flicker a little but never stayed on. I just had the car serviced and told my mechanic of this issue and he checked the brakes and said they are fine. Of course I couldn't get the lights to come on while the car was there. He said it has gremlins. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think the cruise control amp also has some abs functions. Located under the steering wheel and looks like ebay item 8057340975 ; I'm not afiliated with the seller, just providing you a look at another one similar. These are specific per engine I think.

Does my problem sound like something the amp would cause intermittantly or does it go out completely? Thanks
Your best bet is to check the fuse(s) on top of the OVP. The circuits inside the OVP are fragile and they tend to corrode, if that is the case your best bet is to get a new one. But check the fuse(s) first.
The wiring harness had already been replaced. Any other sugestions? This morning the abs light came on for 1 min then went off and then the cruise didn't work. The light stayed off and then the cruise worked. Also sometimes when I press the brake the check brakes light comes on. When I take my foot off the pedal it goes off. Thanks Cap'n
