Need help with W124 Windscreen Heater De-froster Controls not opening top air vents

Hello,
I have a problem with my W124 E200 non air conditioned heater. The heating works fine from the face and floor level vents but when I switch the heater controls to windscreen I am not getting any air, either hot or cold, from the windscreen vents on the top of the dash.
I'd be really gratefull of anyone's advice or experience of this problem.

I have the same problem. Get air coming out of all ducts except the ones for the front windscreen.
I have been told it is a dashboard removal job to fix costing at least 10 hours of labour!!
I am now looking for a dashboard mounted electric heater to clear the mist!

The pod on the heater box may be bad, that is alot of labor. what is worse is there are 3 under there so if one needs replaced you better do the other two.
