Bosch oem clear corner lights - are they made in the Czech republic??

I purchased a set of Euro clear corners from Bekkers - on their website it states that the parts are Bosch OEM units. I've thought about purchasing the Asian units on Ebay, but decided that my Benz desrves OEM quality.

Well, they arrived today and I was dissapointed that there were no Bosch, or 3 pointed star markings on them - only AL / Automotive Lighting - Manufactured In The Czech Republic...

I called Bekkers to ask what the deal was & they told me that they are Bosch units, but that Bosch were out-sourcing some of their parts to other Euro companies.

Has Anyone Heard Of This? The Units Do Have Very High Quality Rubbbr Seals, Which From My Experience With Asian Units Is A Tell Tale Sign Of Cheap Construction...

It's Not About The Money ($100 For A Set Compared With $25 From Ebay) - I Just Don't Want To Be Lied To About Oem Parts.

They could be, I remember a few years ago now that a shop I used to work at in the summers had a hard time getting replacement bosch headlight doors/trimrings for the w123 when all the crap started hitting the fan in Bosnia, something about their plant getting destroyed in the war, so this makes sense too. Eastern europe is to the EU as mexico is to us, cheap but close foreign labor

Wait till you get Bosch spark plugs from India. Labor cost in Germany are way to high so Bosch outsources to the EU and abroad.

I am thinking about getting a Bosch pair from Bekkers for $99. How do they look and fit?
