i was wondering if its easy to replace the bulbs in the headlights. i also need to know what type of bulb is the best to get ( +++ brightness ). i checked with Nappa and i dont think they know what they are doing!!! any help would be apreciated..as always... Enjoy Your Mercedes Benz !!!
Look in your manual to see what type of bulb you have.
Replacement is VERY easy; just remove the rear of the headlight cover (gray). It has 2 clips.
Try to find Sylvania Silverstar bulbs. They do illuminate better but you should seriously consider upgrading your headlights to the euro (European) model.
As Sergio says, go with the Silverstars. I have them on my 86 300E and 90 300CE. Part #9004. About $40.00 out the door at Autozone. Best way to go this side of installing euros.
I've got Sylvania Silverstars in my 300D and I'm not impressed. I'm looking for an upgrade. A parts store guy suggested GE "Nighthawks" anyone with knowledge of these bulbs performance?
Can anyone direct me to a link or post w/ photos of these "Euro lights" you're talking about?
