Ok. But I'll show you how to add a 3.07 LSD diff with ASR (and ASR defeat), and a 722.370 transmission modified to selectively start in first gear and a tuned valve body with higher shift pressures to boot (like my V12 SEC conversion) and flared front and rear fenders.
Also, the vehicle (engine bay and all) are painted 197C Obsidian Black Metallic in our very own body shop's Devilbiss Concept Cure II full downdraft paintbooth....not in the parking lot...
And why a 400CE? If one's going through all the effort for 50hp? A 5.0L engine is just as easy to find, same amount of work. Hmmm....
For 275hp, a C36 motor is a bolt-in swap. A 4.2L V8 makes 268hp and weighs more. Now 322hp is a full 100hp more than stock plus 354 ft/lbs of torque (yes, 1992 LH OBD-1 motor and electronics). Some logic and reasoning should go into swaps too.
So I wish people would think before they speak.... To imply that no logic or reasoning went into this project is obsurd. The beauty of building a custom car is that you get to build it YOURSELVES. No one came over to your site and started nitpicking your build. The fact of the matter is, we are capable of building awesome cars. Maybe my budget didn't match up to yours, but I know this car will. BRIAN @ SMAW
Brian, you should be applauded for you efforts. Many of us can only dream of tackling such a project. If I myself had the know-how I'd be doing a similar type of conversion.
The 4.2/4.3 L V8 was something I had comtemplated getting done since there would be less efforts involved in installing it vs the 5L. (no transmission tunnel widening). Beside I'm sure with a chip and intake, 300hp isn't far off.
Keep the pictures coming.
