It was a nice day, time to do some mods.............

It got up to 57 degrees out today so I decided to swap out the grill on my 95 E300D. I bought an Avantgard SW600 6 strip insert on ebay for 65 bucks. It really looks nice as the black plastic behind the aluminum strips is shiney black that matches my cars paint very well. Going to try to link these photos instead of uploading them to this site, bear with me, I've never donme this before. This first one is the original grill before I started.
This next one is with the grill removed.

This is the grill turned over looking from the backside. The old insert is still in place and the back of the replacement one is sitting above it.

And last but not least is the pic of the grill completed to give it the S600 style look. Now I need to change out the passenger side headlight glass and the front end will be complete.

Yea these cars will last a million miles but what with terrorists, natural disasters and the H5N1 avian flu pandemic... God help us there's anyone left here to drive them.

I agree it does look better. It's got a pure OEM look to it but much better.
