I am looking to buy a 94- 95 e320 wagon, however most of them that I am finding are on the east coast. How do they hold up with all the salt. Is rust an issue with these cars? If so any spots I should have checked out?
Absolutely none. I picked up a 94 e320 wagen last Feb. that has been in service in the DC metro area and when it snows we salt the hell out of the highways. If you find once that's rusty I'd be more aware of other potential maintenance probs...
If any , look in the spare tire well, rain and mud can get water and fungus to collect . As rule the steel is of better quality that most cars.
The rear suspension area can get a bit rusty.
