Delay in motor fan?

Hey guys, just wondering if there is any way to advance the timing of the motor fan. My motor runs a bit too hot and I want the temp to stay below the 90c mark. Any suggestions?

RE: Delay in motor fan?

Well your fan is a fan clutch so there isn't much you can do to it. But what a lot of people have done is wedge or solder a 1.1k metal film resistor to the sensor for the auxiliary fans so they come on earlier.

Here is the guy that practically invented the idea...

RE: Delay in motor fan?

I had wiggled the aux fan fuse a little sideways and now it stays on continuously when motor is running.. My temp gauge always reads 80 degrees even when sitting in traffic. The temp here avg 93 degrees daily.Hope this works for you[:I]
