89 300CE Diesel?
I am looking at converting an old 300CE to support a turbo Diesel.
Any guidence on the do-ability of this act?
Preliminary investigation suggests that the engine should just drop in with a radiator and fuel tank change, plus a bit of electrcal for the pre-heater.
The engine would be from a 124 series but I would appreciate any other things to think about like transmision, etc.
thanks,
sd

fuel tank and lines, heavier duty battery. obviosly the ECU, and dont forget the transmission.
better to have a complete donor car to raid.

RE: 89 300CE Diesel?
This is what I am weighing up.
CE looks good but requires some assembly to go to diesel (also $4k-$5K more for the same year/features/etc over a 4door, here in Oz)
300D off the rack just needs a turbo and some bells and whistles.
jury is still out at this stage.
Also it is supposed to be a project to teach my two boys about cars before they get one of their own, so a bit of pain is tolerable.
