Well on the way to the beach we dropped the 300E off at First Class Automotive in Raleigh, NC. Long list but here it goes.
30,000 mile service that includes all hoses, filters, spark plugs, oil, and seals[/*]
Front and Rear Brake Pads[/*]
Replace Center Muffler[/*]
Replace front sturts[/*]
Brake Fuild Flush[/*]
Replace Transmission Cooler Hoses[/*]
Replace Tire Rod Assembly[/*]
Rotate and Balance tires[/*]
Replace Faulty Antenna Motor[/*]
Drive is much better with the new struts/shocks. The new antenna has a black tip and had different wiring, so hopefully the last one we will need. The new antenna seal is much better then the last, that was done after an accident by a crap mechanic. The total cost was around $3,700.
Geez, thats a lot of $$ for those repairs. You could've bought another W124 for that much. I hope you don't have to spend that again.

Well it is a high price, but the work is unbeatable. The labor is very costly per hour, also the work is warranty is 1 year/12,000 miles. I believe my car deserves the very best and it gets it and thus it will run well past 200,000 miles.
I always thought thatshops were required to give a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty on repairs. I think it is a law in Florida. I'm not sure about NC. I still feel $3,700 is a lot, but it is hard to find a good MB tech in rural areas. In Miami, that service would have cost about $800-$1000 dollars. We have a ton of quality MB mechanic shops.
Hood: $350
Grill: $150
Euro E320 headlights (instead of the regular E320 headlights) $280
Corner lights: $100
I also shaved the stock antenna and the windshield squirters.
Shaved:
I was not a fan of the 300E grill and headlights, so I went ahead with my E320 facelift. My car wasn't crashed, so I sold my old parts on ebay.
Btw: I never got around to lowering my car and colormatching the wheels, because I sold it. I think it would've look really sweet with the lowering and colormatch.
Sounds better already. If you intend to keep the car all those things will need replacing at some point.Choosing when,is where it becomes personal.I don't really like getting my hands dirty these days.Saving money is not always the least stressful route[:)]
