The kickdown button is situated behind the throttle pedal on the floor.
With the engine off, press the throttle all the way to the bottom and you will then feel the button click.
This is used when you need to get away quickly. If you hit the kickdown button from a standing, start, the car will start off in first gear instead of second like normal.
Whilst driving along the road, it will drop down to the lowest gear possible for that speed giving you a huge power boost.
