Ernest T Bass BenzWorld Member Date registered: Jan 2004 Vehicle: 280 ges 1989 Location: London UK/Miami FL Posts: 321	problems with a neutral safety switch Having problems with a neutral safety switch: On an 88 300e: Changed the switch twice and first it stopped working in park the finally stopped working in neutral. This was all within a few days. Itâ€™s not loose or moved in alignment â€“ the only way to start the engine is by hard wiring the plug. Has any one had this kind of problem or heard of a faulty starter motor burning out the switch.
