I see a lot of posting about euro headlights, euro AC controls etc. And there seems like people like those parts better. Are there many parts in the euro124's that are different from the us124's? I live in norway, and access to euro parts is prettty good here, i could perhaps get parts for ppl if they need any... What parts are different eu-us?
Just the headlights really. USA companies are charging upwards of $500 for a pair of OEM Bosch or Hella headlamps. The E500/500E headlamps are in particular high demand at $600 and higher because of the change in the fog light to driving lights and the chrome interior it has.
There is the one for all the other W124's and then there are the ones for the 500 series W124.
The 500E lights look the same except the interior is chrome and the fog lights were changed to driving lights. I believe its the same thing on the 94/95 E500. They are more expensive to get and harder to find in the aftermarket. You usually can only get them from an OE distributer.
TYC and Depo aftermarket replica lights are not 500 series lights.
500E500 specific Euro Headlights. With overseas shipping you are looking at around $700 for a set.

Yes there are two types.

I am attaching pictures of one the guy's AMG from the site. What do you make of the brand of his Euro headlights? Bosch, Hella, or aftermarket? Do they look the ones from 500E or E500?
They look like TYC or Depo. Don't get me wrong, I run a set of Depo on my 500E. I have a new set of Hella's that I put on for show's, etc. But, for daily driving, I don't want to risk damage to the $700 pair. [;)]

Hella's that you have on your 500E, are those Euro Headlights? And do you have driving lights in place of the fog lamps and have chrome inside, like the ones displayed in the picture posted by Yal?
Some guys here say DEPO's are made in China and that TYC's are better. I noticed the fog lamp lenses are cloudier on aftermarket compared to Bosch or Hella.
