I am trying to replace dash bulbs and, as I know, I just have to pull the dash out with 2 hooks. I was trying hard, but for some reason it just wouldn’t get out. Is it because the speedometer cable is holding it, or what?
Just been there done that with a 300E !![:(!] They can be tough! I had to make some hooks out of small bent nails so they would not bend. There is enough play in the speedo cable for you to put cluster out! But not real far out! Should be able to get you hand in behind to unscrew the speedo cable ! You just might have room also to pull out the bulbs without removing to whole cluster! I have one out in my E420 over the tach that is out, so I will have to do it all over again on my personal car![:(!][:(!]
