Memory seats

Hi Guys! the last week i've buyed a '94 E 320 Coupe, long time desired, with leather seats, and the driver's one is electric, but without memory. Now i've a question: The memory of the seats, depends only from the button or it's more complicated? I want this function, I have it on my SL and it's necessary!.

Thaks all guys

RE: Memory seats

No sir, It's more than just that button. Under the seat is located a module in charge of remembering the position of the seat for Position 1 2 and 3. There is wiring involved, that module and yes, the switch (button). I'll check on pricing and if this modification is possible tomorrow morning

RE: Memory seats

I was not even aware that it was possible to have memory seats. [:I] I'd be interested in this as well. By the way, Chinche, you don't have enough cars. I think you should buy more. [:p]

RE: Memory seats

In order to do this, you need:

Seat Switch with programmable Memory: $112.00
Rear Seat Height Adjustment Motor: $199.00
Fore-and-After Adjustment Motor: $230.00
Front Seat Height Adjustment Motor: $199.00
Steering Column Control Unit (for steering wheel memory): $765.00
Backrest Adjuster Motor: $262.00
Headrest Adjuster Motor: $210.00

If i'm not mistaking, the wires that you have right now for your motors will work with the new motors. The seat Adjustment Switch should be able to fit into the contact without a problem but i'm not sure. Job is $2100 US + Labor...

RE: Memory seats

damn thats expensive - I'd forget the whole thing and invest that $2k into something more important such as rims and body parts (if needed) or save the money for petrol...jks[:D]
