Just got my W124 89 300E ... some replacement required
Well, got my daily driver from the parental units for BB value and it needs some work :(
If you haven't noticed already I've been in deep research and discussion about my suspension already which I desire to bring to a little better than stock... But just came to the realization that the front suspension is so weak that turning bottoms out the car onto the tires sometimes and that my headlights are on on the highest adjustment and it feels like it's just aimed at the ground, no where higher where it should be.
Also on the plate of things to digest, this car likes to cut itself off while I'm braking before a stoplight and turning. I'm not sure why could it be a vacuum leak of sorts? or maybe the belt that's driving the powersteering isn't tight and the extra load is causing the engine to malfunction? dunno, new to the repair scene :)
passenger side seat motor has issues, it can go forward, backward, the back can tilt whichever way it wishes, the front of the seat is fine, but the rear section of the seat is frozen, are these all separate motors? I'd like to get this fixed so my passengers (fiance) do not have their rear in an odd and mildly uncomfortable position in one of the worlds most comfortable cars!
my dad has been running 89 Octane for the longest time in this car and it's showing when you tap the gas and wait like turbo lag for the NA to kick in.
odometer is frozen at 135k something for about 1.5-2 years... can I just take it apart and clean it or replace something to get it to work again or is this one of those "ya gotta buy another one" deals?
It's warm in Macon, GA and the A/C is blowing cold, but when it's on there is a loud popping sound of the a/c vent arms that seems to be not closing (or opening?) all the way. It's annoying and it's making me not want to use the A/C at all. Question is how to remove the center console and get to the a/c vacuum control unit and fix this?
I think that's most of it, tires are dry cracked and need to be replaced too, the interior gauge lights are busted and need to be replaced... can't see how fast I'm going without turning on the interior overhead lights at night [:0] ... sigh...
sorry for the long car issue introduction, but any help would be beyond greatly appreciated!

too many questions at one time ( one thing at a time )[:)]
I guess I'd have to agree with you on that... but I'd feel like a post whore and give myself a guilt trip for posting a thread for every single thing I wished to discuss... Or should I do that anyway?
