The plastics on my car (lower side pannels, bumpers, wing mirrors) are getting a little faded, and have lost their glossy sheen compared with the body-work. The worst bits are the front bumper and the fronts of the wing-mirrors (they get hit by just about everything - flys, stones, etc)
What is the best way to re-spray these pannels? can they be removed from the car easilly, or is it better to spray them on the car? Ideally I would like to get the whole car re-sprayed so its shiny and new again, but I cant really afford that at the moment
Are these pannels easy to remove from the car, and if so, how would I go about it?
Thanks in advance
b :)
PS... I have a spray booth and comp./guns available to me at work, but theres not enough space to spray the whole car
I would defenitley save my pennies up for a whole car spray over. In my opinion it's better to drive around for a while with faded paint than to try to half a** something. Painting plastic is alot more complex . It includes alot of prep work mixing the hardener and flex. As well you'll need alot of clearcoat on plastic otherwise it'll still come out dull and faded defeating your purpose of repainting.Trust me you don't want to try this yourself. You can go shop around different body shops. They'll usually charge anywhere from $600 -800 to repaint and color match your plastic panels, bumpers etc. A quality paint job you'll always remove plastic trim and panels to spray.

If you have no intentions of painting your car for a year or more than I say paint the trim. Two of my cars came with the trim already painted and I must say that I like the look. It just seems to look cleaner. Just take the pieces and paint them since you can't take the whole car.
I never took mine off before. It seems to me that you have to remove your door panels and there are clips on the upper and possibly the lower portion of the trim from the inside of the doors. Sorry, this was all I could find.
Just found something else. Go to this website:

the paint on that car looks amazing [:D]
and if thats your garage in the photo, do you want to adopt a 25yr old english guy?.. ..Im fully house-trained!
I think I will leave them as they are for the time being, but when I can afford a full re-spray, I will remove the pannels and do the prep myself anyway, so this isnt wasted info...
